DivCom  AAM Standing Professional Committee for Diversity in Museums Welcome DivCom is a Standing Professional Committee (SPC) of the American Association of Museums (AAM).  DivCom welcomes into membership any individual or organization that seeks to enrich, expand, and enliven how we define our museum community and the diverse audiences it serves. Engaging with diversity energizes us by encouraging fresh and constructive dialogues about the complexities, contradictions, and possibilities of what we do, how we do it, and on whose behalf. From these conversations can come exciting opportunities and realizations that help ensure the long-term financial health, cultural relevance and social centrality of museums in their communities. This website is provided as a forum for members of the DivCom community to share ideas and resources, learn from one another, and engage in conversations pertinent to making advances toward improving diversity in museums.
